DerBoden des Jahreswurde erstmals am Weltbodentag, dem 5. Dezember 2004 für das Jahr 2005 vorgestellt.
Ziele:
Kippenböden sind junge Böden, die sich innerhalb von Jahrzehnten in Bergbaufolgelandschaften entwickelt haben. Sie entstehen aus verkipptem Abraum. Sie sind besonders in den großen Braunkohletagebau-Revieren verbreitet.
In der deutschen Bodenklassifikation zählen diese Böden zur Klasse der Terrestrischen Rohböden und zur Klasse der Ah/C-Böden. Die verbreiteten Kipp-Regole sind aus carbonatfreiem oder carbonatarmen Lockermaterial hervorgegangen International (WRB) sind sie den Regosols zugeordnet. Wenn sie stark sandig sind, gehören sie zu den Arenosols.
Die chemischen und physikalischen Eigenschaften der verkippten Substrate entscheiden über die Nutzungsmöglichkeiten der daraus entstehenden Böden. Landwirtschaftliche Nutzung, Forstliche Nutzung sowie Offenflächen und Naturschutz sind abhängig vom Kippsubstrat möglich.
